Bobby Lashley Begins His TNA Debut in Texas
TNA Wrestling was able to lure free agent MMA fighter Bobby Lashley over to TNA, and pro wrestling fans are excited by what he will bring to TNA wrestling events.
Lashley is making his debut by wrestling in house shows. He wrestled tonight in a TNA ring for the first time in San Angelo, Texas. TNA then heads to Abeliene, TX on Saturday, and then heads over to Belton, Texas this Sunday.
I am going to head to the TNA event this Sunday, and had the priveledge to meet TNA Superstar Kurt Angle in person earlier today.
This is the first time in eleven years I have been to a pro wrestling show. Eleven years ago, I saw a WWE show, I saw Mark Henry, triple H, Mankind, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, all of the greats from the late 90's era of wrestling.
I will not be blogging this weekend. I will enjoy the TNA event on Sunday though.

Will Pete Rose Ever Be Reinstated?
All-time hits leader Pete Rose was banned for life from baseball twenty years ago after a major league investigation that included allegations of betting on baseball.
Mike Schmidt is one of the Hall of Famers who believes Rose has suffered enough.
If Rose ever gets reinstated, it probably won't be while Bud Selig is Commisioner.

Video:Phils' Eric Bruntlett Unassisted Triple Play To End Game!
Man, I knew the Mets were out once Beltran and Delgado got hurt, but this is the most incredible way I have ever seen to end a ballgame! Wow!

Cue The Madness!
Brett Favre is (finally!) going to play for the Minnesota Vikings!
Favre was practicing with the team this morning.
This makes the Vikings the NFC North Favorite. Favre won't have to throw the ball as often as he used to, as Adrian Peterson will run wild all over defenses.
I think Fave watched the Vikings Preseason game from his home in Missisippi and said "Hey! I Can run that offense!"
I wonder how Packers fans are feeling right now.

Eagles Sign Michael Vick
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reacts to the news of Vick signing with the Eagles.
Wow! To say that the news of Michael Vick signing with Philly is a suprise is an understatement!
How will Head Coach Andy Reid use Vick? I don't think Vick will be used at QB (McNabb is pretty good), so I am expecting Andy Reid to use Vick for his speed, perhaps in a "Wildcat-type" offensive role.

Youkilis, Porcello, Get Five For Fighting
ESPN's Steve Phillips talks about Kevin Youklis and Rick Porcello's brawl at Fenway Park last night.
That was the second day in a row that Youklis was plunked by a Tigers pitcher. Remember, before that, Victor Martinez was thrown a ball up and in.
This was intentional. No doubt. Tensions had been running high starting with the game yesterday.
Why does Baseball continue to have an uneven field when it comes to starting pitchers? Porcello got suspended 5 games, meaning just one start!
Baseball should suspend starting pitchers by Starts! In the words of Prince Fielder: "He Ain't Playing tommorow!"

Pedro Martinez To Start Wednesday
Pedro Martinez will make his long awaited debut in front of a nationwide television audience.
Pedro will start on Wednesday night against the Chicago Cubs.
To make room for Pedro, veteran pitcher Jamie Moyer was moved from the rotation to the bullpen.
The Phils have a stacked rotation. Cliff Lee, J.A. Happ, and now Pedro Martinez. It will be interesting to see how an agressive team like the Cubs will respond to facing him.

Prince Fielder Attempts To Enter LA Dodgers Locker Room (Full Verison)
Milwaukee Brewers Slugger Prince Fielder was denied in his postgame attempt to challenge reliever and former teammate Gulliermo Mota, who hit him with a pitch in the ninth inning of Los Angeles' 17-4 victory over the Brewers on Tuesday night.
Mota drilled Fielder with two outs, apparently in retaliation for a pitch that hit Dodgers slugger Manny Ramirez in the seventh inning of Los Angeles' highest-scoring home performance in 30 years. Home plate umpire Marvin Hudson immediately ejected Mota, who slowly left the field while Fielder voiced his anger.
When the game ended, Fielder charged through the underground tunnels at Dodger Stadium to the door of the home clubhouse, shouting obscenities with many fellow Brewers trailing behind. Several security guards and teammates Bill Hall and Casey McGehee prevented Fielder from entering the locker room in search of Mota.
Here is the whole scene in it's entirety below.
Here is what a calmed down Prince said a day later.
In a 13-3 game, Manny Ramirez'a uniform was grazed with a pitch from reliever Chris Smith. In a 17-3 game, Prince Fielder got hit in the ribs by a pitch from Mota. This unneccesary bean ball war could have ended a whole lot worse than it did. Prince could have gone after Mota and charged the mound, which would be understandable. Fielder was on the wrong end of a rout, and then takes an unnecessary shot to the ribs.
