Gene Upshaw, the man who helped bring Free Agency into the NFL, has died. He was 63.
Upshaw died just three days after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Gene Upshaw was a hall of Fame lineman for the Oakland Raiders for 15 seasons. His career culminated in two Super Bowl victories and seven Pro Bowl Appearances.
My condolences go out to Gene's family.
