(MLB) "Around The Bases" May 15,2007

The Chicago Cubs suffered a bullpen meltdown yesterday as the bullpen walked home the tying and winning runs. The Cubs came back with a vengenance, destroying the New York Mets 10 to 1. Carlos Zambrano got his fourth win of the season, and the Cubs are one game below 500.

Detroit defeated the Red Sox 7 to 1, as Tim Wakefield was rocked for four runs in the third inning, and that ended up becoming the clincher.

The Texas Rangers lost to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays 4 to 3 in the tenth inning.

Randy Johnson looked like "The Big Unit" of old tonight, as he held the Colorado Rockies to just one hit through six innings, and had nine strikeouts in homerun friendly Coors Field in Denver.

The New York Yankees are on the road on the South Side of Chicago, and they will have to wait until tomorrow to get their game against the White Sox started, as this game is in a Rain Delay.
