Roger Clemens signs with Yankees

Roger Clemens may just keep pitching until he is fifty. Clemens announced to the Yankee Stadium crowd watching the Yankees play the Mariners that he was returning to Yankee Pinstripes this season, and he hopes to start pitching again by the end of the month.

This is kind of suprising, but it also is not. Look, we all know that George Steinbrenner loves to throw money at people. He threw money at Johnny Damon to lure him away from the Red Sox. He threw money at Andy Pettite to lure him away from Houston and get him homesick to return to Yankee Stadium, and now Steinbrenner has not only thrown money at Clemens to get him to return to the Bronx, but now Steinbrenner has reminded Clemens that his BFF Andy Pettite is no longer in Houston.

Roger Clemens instantly improves this tattered, shredded, Yankee Rotation. Clemens improves the Pitching Rotation of every team in the Majors. His knowledge of how to get a batter to swing and miss three times in a row is easily the reason he is the greatest right hander in the history of the game.

The Rocket has landed in New York. Can he land the Yankees the coveted World Series Pennant?
