Congratulations to the Indianapolis Colts, the Champions of Super Bowl XLI. The Colts defeated the Chicago Bears 24-17 in Miami, Florida. Give it up to the Chicago Bears, they played hard, but they were defeated in the end, by the Colts and their unstoppable offense. Final Congrats to Peyton Manning the Super Bowl MVP: They said he would never climb to the top of the mountain. Well, he's made it to the top. He's conquered the mountain, and he was voted the Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XLI.
The Bad News is that Football Season is over.
The good news is that Baseball season starts two months from now.

(NFL) Super Bowl XLI: Bears vs Colts
Congratulations to the Indianapolis Colts and the Chicago Bears, who both earned the right to go to Miami,Florida to play in Super Bowl XLI. The Chicago Bears earned the right to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl with a 45-17 victory over the New Orleans Saints. The Indianapolis Colts earned the right to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl with a thrilling 38-34 victory over the New England Patriots.
Key Players on both sides of the ball:
CHICAGO O: Rex Grossman, Bears QB: Which Rex will show up in Miami? Will it be the Rex that had a Quarterback rating of over 100 three times? Or will it be the Rex that had a quarterback rating of 1.4 twice (Minesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals) and a Quarterback Rating of 0.0 (Green Bay Packers)?
Rex has been okay so far in the postseason, playing smart, being patient, not turning the ball over often, and putting the ball in the hands of his playnakers, Thomas Jones and Bernard Berrian. Rex also has been bailed out when he turns the ball over by this great Bear defense.
Rex will not be the reason the Bears lose this game, Rex will play smart, be patient, not turn the ball over (often) and go deep for his playmakers (occasionally.)
CHICAGO D: Brian Urlacher, Bears LB: Urlacher is, no doubt the heart of the Bears D. The Bears D revolves around him (and the opposing offense does in a way as well)
INDIANAPOLIS O: Peyton Manning, Colts QB: Peyton's finally got a trip to the Super Bowl. Now he has to make it count by making smart decisions and taking advantage of what the Bears defense gives him.
INDIANAPOLIS D: Nick Harper: Indianpolis CB: Harper jarred the ball away from Bettis in the AFC divisional playoff game, now the question is: How will he do against Bears playmaker Bernard Berrian?
Coaches: Tony Dungy will prove that he should have his name on the Lombardi Trophy currently in Tampa, which the Buccaneers won in 2003 under Jon Gruden. However, Dungy built up the Buccaneers. All Gruden has done since Super Bowl XXXVII is bring the Bucaneers down. Bears fans remember this guy well: Did somebody say Dave Wanstedt?
Lovie Smith wants a raise, and, if the Bears are smart, they will give it to him. I am sure that an owner in Dallas by the name of Jerry Jones would love to lure Lovie back to Texas.
Special Teams: If the offense and defense are neutralized, Special Teams is going to be how the Super Bowl will be won. Will the Colts Special Teams squad be able to contain the Bears speedster, Devin Hester? Will the Colts be able to score points when they need it most? Or will they have to settle for field goals from the Automatic Adam Vinateiri (who already has three Super Bowl Rings, he got those with the Patriots?)
We could witness the greatest Super Bowl of all time, I can't wait for the Super Bowl.
Peyton Manning has waited a long time for this moment, longer than Rex Grossman, but is it possible that Manning gets outplayed by the most inconsistent starter in the history of the Super Bowl?
Knowing the Super Bowl, anything is possible, and that is why everybody loves to watch it.
Prediction: The "Monkey" that has been on the back of Peyton Manning the last couple of years to win the Super Bowl is as good as dead, the Colts will win this game. Indy will defeat the Bears, Lovie Smith will get an extension, Dallas will find a head coach... The World is spinning smoothly again.

(MLS) Is David Beckham REALLY worth a Million Dollars a week?
Soccer fans are about to witness the "greatest" acquisition in American Soccer History since Pele came out of retirement to play for the New York Cosomos of the North American Soccer League in the 1970's. David Beckham, formerly of the Manchester United and the Real Madrid Soccer teams in England, is coming to America to play for the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer. Beckham will reportedly earn a Million Dollars a week for the next five years.
Beckham is 31 years old, but the Galaxy aren't worried, since Beckham is the same age as Peyton Manning and Allen Iverson.
Beckham says his focus will be on Soccer, not the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, which is kind of hard to believe when you consider his wife, Victoria, is a former Spice Girl, and he is good friends with actor Tom Cruise. Beckham was forced to miss the wedding of Cruise and Katie Holmes to sit on the bench for Real Madrid.
Let's take a quick trip on the "Wayback Machine" to 1974. Pele, four years after leading Brazil to the World Cup in 1970,retired from Soccer. However, he came out of retirement to play for the New York Cosmos of the North American Soccer League. Pele accepted a three year, $7 million dollar deal, making him the highest paid player in the league. Pele said he came out of retirement to "make soccer truly popular in the United States." (which is the same thing that David Beckham said as to why he wants to play for the Galaxy.) Pele's last match in the NASL was October 1, 1977. That game, an exhibition match between the Cosmos and Santos, had Pele playing a half and scoring a goal for the Cosmos- an amazing goal from thirty yards out. Pele retired in 1977, and the NASL folded in 1985.
In Short, Pele played for the NASL from 1974 to 1977, and the league still folded.
Mia Hamm played for the Women's Soccer League, and that league still folded.
Major League Soccer is banking on David Beckham to create a "Pele-like" excitement for Soccer, which won't happen. However, the few Los Angeles Galaxy fans should be very excited. A court with Landon Donovan And David Beckham? I can understand why Galaxy fans are saying "Los Angeles Galaxy will be MLS Champs in 2007."
Is David Beckham REALLY worth a million dollars a week? Only if he makes soccer popular in America (which won't happen) and helps the Galaxy to win a title every year (which could happen.)
Major League Soccer's is on a ruthless search for the person who will elevate their sport above Football Baseball, and Basketball, which isn't going to happen, with or without David Beckham.
(On another Ironic Note, David Beckham will wear number 23, attributed to basketball great Michael Jordan.)
