(MLB) Big Unit's Days in Bronx Numbered?

The New York Yankees are engaged in trade talks with the Arizona Diamondbacks and the San Diego Padres, and they are reportedly dangling Randy Johnson "The Big Unit" as trade bait. I know the Yankees are trying to recover from their disasterous (in their mind) first round elimination by the Detroit Tigers, but trying to get rid of a guy like Randy Johnson or Alex Rodriguez is NOT the answer. What all of the Yankee fans that are calling for A-Rod or Randy Johnson to leave the Bronx is that this Yankee team was left for dead in June, banged up with injuries and the Red Sox had a huge lead in the Ameican League East. However, George Steinbrenner and Brian Cashman helped engineer a genius trade with the Philladelphia Phillies to bring over much needed offense in Bobby Abbreu and much needed pitching in the form of Cory Lidle. (R.I.P Cory Lidle 1971-2006) This Yankee team then caught fire, capping off their incredible comeback with a 5 game sweep of their hated rivals- the Boston Red Sox.- This Yankee team had finished the season wih the best record in the American League, and a lot of people were picking them to sweep the Tigers and have their 27th World Series Pennant.

The Yankees made not have made it to the ALCS, but they may not even make it to the postseason if they trade away Randy Johnson and Alex Rodriguez.
